It's explosion time! When Diddy gets the Smash Ball, he uses his jetpack and peanut pop guns simultaneously, and they seem to pack quite a bit more punch. Basically, Diddy flies above the crowd and fires exploding peanuts downward, and you can angle his shots by pressing left or right. After it is all done, Diddy's jetpack explodes and causes even more damage.
Of course, all the peanuts that don't hit will have their edible cores strewn across the ground, so pick them up before your opponents do.
