Dojo Update: Pikmin & Olimar's Special Moves,
Two days later, we get Olimar's Special Moves.
Of course, his normal special move pulls Pikmin out of the ground. You can have up to six Pikmin, and the probability of which type of Pikmin you pull changes depending on the floor type. Just like in the games, each color of Pikmin has distinct properties.
His side special tosses Pikmin at opponents, who latch on (except the purple ones) and damage an enemy slowly (with the red ones causing fire damage, the yellow ones electrifying opponents, and the white ones causing extra poison damage).
His up special has his Pikmin form a chain and tether recover. As you can guess, the number of Pikmin you have increases the effectiveness of this move.
His down special calls back all the Pikmin that have scattered. You also use it to change the Pikmin in front, who'll be the first one you use in your next attack.
The update also confirms that Olimar needs the Pikmin to perform smashes, certain midair moves, and throws.
