WEEKENDER+ Theories + Predictions #6

Stupid good weeks, always beating the crap out of me. Well, I sure as hell won't let myself get another zip!

But before then, I'd like to point out how much of the structure of the Adventure Mode articles was shown this week. We got an article explaining the main antagonists and then a Boss article. The Boss article is the only real 'new' thing, but I think we're seeing a pattern here.

The first three non-teaser posts of the Adventure Mode all show different parts of the same level. Methinks this will continue in the same format, with them explaining certain concepts (maybe even the different environments?) that all the subsequent levels introduce, but never delving into the levels themselves, and then doing one about the boss of that level.

To this end, I think the next Adventure Mode article will talk about branching story paths or something of that nature, as the last line of the Petey Piranah article hints to it. The example they would show is Ganondorf (who is quite obviously behind Zelda in that shot) taking away either princess, and how that affects the game (this would be a good reason why we see a couple of environments that look to be from Twilight Princess, as you would travel to them to track down G'dorf).

Another interesting-but-dumb bit of theory: I notice on the Characters page, the way the veterans are aligned might hold some significance to the story. Kirby is lined up with both Zelda and Peach, whom he is with in the videos we've seen so far, and Link is lined up with Yoshi, who both were in a cinema screenshot together. This could be coincidence, in fact it probably is. But it's interesting.

And in the unlikely scenario my theories holds some water, what do the other lines mean? Well, it could work out like this:

Fox's ship crash lands after being fired at by the Halberd (as seen in the cinema scene shown in the introduction article), and has to fight through the field/forest area (where we see him in some of the screens from the same article). Before or after that, he finds Mario, who landed there after being blasted by Petey. After their forest misadventure, they fight a boss of some sort and then find themselves in DK (and possibly Diddy's) territory, and another team-up occurs.

I don't know if I could find an as-good theory for Link/Yoshi/Samus or Pikachu/Bowser/Captain Falcon (who's page link will go beneath Bowser, guaranteed). But anyway, that's an interesting bit I noticed. Who knows if it means anything?

****

But let's get on to those predictions:

Another newcomer (Lucas?)
Two stages (One known, one new)
Diddy Kong's Special Moves
An Item (Probably not an actual item item, but an Assist Trophy or Poke Ball)
