Yet another mystery sorta solved. It looks like Samus does turn into Zero Suit Samus via her Final Smash, although that's not to count out the possibility of some secret code or something that allows you to play as her from the start. It's still a neat way to tie a new character into a new game mechanic, though.
I like the fact that you can throw the pieces of the suit afterwards.
