Today's update concerns Crates and Barrels. This may sound boring, but they show that the containers now change looks to match the aesthetic of the stage, which is a neat little detail. Also, they can now slide down hills and plow through whoever is in their way (Pikachu looks to be riding on the top of a moving crate, too).
One more thing: If you look at the Crates and Barrels image in the 'Items' section of the site, you see the two perched on a checkerboard platform. I don't think we haven't seen any stages with checkerboard platforms. It could, however, be a part of Isle Delfino.
